Yo estaba esperando un día despejado para viajar al Cerro San Cristóbal, lo más alto en Santiago que provee vistas hermosas de la ciudad y la cordillera. Por la mañana el viernes pasado, el tiempo estaba perfecto: hacía sol y no había una nube en el cielo. Un día perfecto para este viaje, almorcé con mis amigos Stephanie, Anna, y Paul antes de caminar a la cumbre del cerro donde está ubicada una estatua de la Virgen. Desafortunadamente, durante el camino, el tiempo empeoraba y estaba muy nubloso cuando llegamos a la cumbre. Una lástima, sí, pero el santuario es un lugar precioso.
I was waiting for a clear day to go to the Cerro San Cristobal, the highest hill in Santiago that provides beautiful views of the city and the mountains. In the morning of last Friday, the weather was perfect: it was sunny and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. A perfect day for this trip, I had lunch with my friends Stephanie, Anna, and Paul before walking up to the top of the hill where there is a statue of the Virgen. Unfortunately, during our walk, the weather worsened and it was very cloudy when we arrived at the top. A shame, yes, but the sanctuary is a lovely place.
